could this guy be the programmer who created Night Baron? :o or at least the kernel/seed/core that Night Baron was 'born' from via BO skullduggery? but his diary states he hadn't completed whatever the BO wanted from him for the past year. so whatever work he'd done on it before they contacted him interested them so much they wanted more. hmm... perhaps what little they had did 'something' they wanted, but didn't do 'everything' they wanted it to... so the BO wanted him to finish it. hmm! Night Baron supposedly can delete anything in a computer system. a perfect deletion. hmm! could you imagine what a 'footprint on a computer system' could mean to the secrecy of the BO? if they could target Black Baron with other 'parts' or 'functions' any mention of their members, activities, anything could go POOF like smoke!

as for remembering Ran, i bet he remembers her because of the whole ...NYC serial killer is killed during his investigation. Shin phoned in a tip to the cops the killer had been using that building Ran's hankerchief got caught upon the external fire-escape. Vermouth/the serial killer was wounded and Shin stated in his tip there was blood at the building. since we know 'somebody' was killed, a body showed up, but we know it wasn't Vermouth. so, was that blood at the abandoned building Vermouth's? or the stand-in corpse the BO provided to cover up Vermouth's killings? what if the blood from the building didn't match the corpse??? hmmm!?! maybe that was a big break to lead the FBI etc. to believe the serial killer had a partner/accomplice/handler/help?!

OH!! That'd be super cool if he made the night baron virus! And this program being a continuation of it makes sense too!!

07:30 i have heard this before but it isn’t with the ost (original soundtrack) but lets go the Akai arch is starting now.
Ok i was watching this in class so couldn’t type alot but these past eps they have been leaving us on cliffhangerr latley. Like stop teasimg us already, even though i love cliffhangers.

This episode was pretty good but also Conan making some of the worst decisions, like they should have worn gloves or maybe not have gone to where the BO could be? Just because the BO promises they won't do something doesn't mean they won't, they're literally a criminal organization full of serial killers. I doubt most of them have good morals.

No they said the guy was carefull he noticed a pen being moved a few centimeters. So he would notice if they were looking/spying at him.
And the BO doesn’t take chances. They make them.

I know this is gonna seem kinda rude but I don't get Shinichi and Ran's longing for each other in terms of how much time has passed, I thought this in the last episode too.

Because acording to Gosho it's only been around 6 months/less than a year which doesn't make sense, but that's something else. And this was around 2016 (apparently when he said that), so it's been even less than 6 months in the current episodes.

What I'm talking about is, these guys are like 16/17. Why are they acting like Shinichi's gone off to war and never coming back? Also all the 'I'll wait for him' s she keeps saying, once again they are like 16/17, what is this? Sometimes they don't act like teenagers.

Also, according to the "timeline" (which tbh is a mess) doesn't this mean Ran is calling Shinichi crying about when he's coming back like every other week?

It just confuses me, it'd make more sense if DCMK took place over a couple of years but... Also, whenever Ran cries about him not being there I can't help but laugh (not a haha that's funny laugh btw) cause it seems so awkward.

6 months is already too long for lovers to not meet. They are not exactly lovers but they are more than lovers in some ways. Also, their relationship was about to get there from what I’ve seen of their interactions in the first episode.

It’s like what the culprit said last episode (the shogi player), when people are separated their hearts fall apart.

The drama is old fashioned, as expected from an almost 30 year old series, and we are exposed to recurring elements every episode like Ran missing Shinichi, Kogoro surprising people after revealing his identity... It’s a little overwhelming when you are binge watching and not following it weekly.
